Our Mission:
To guide communities in using science for social good.
We envision a world where communities use science to inform policy decisions.
We envision a world where communities use science to inform policy decisions.
Since April 2017 our volunteer force has aimed to create one, timely, two hour community discussion per month. We have brought dozens of participants into conversations on the impact of immigration restrictions on research and innovation, cancers caused by refusing HPV vaccination for children, and addiction as a disease, as opposed to a moral deficit, in the context of the opioid crisis that has taken thousands of lives in Erie County.
One of our main Educational Outreach programs include the Buffalo Science Fest, which is a great opportunity for children to interact with scientists in the community while having fun with hands on activities. During this annual event, children and adults alike can interact with 20+ local organizations in health, environment, science, and policy.
